Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to develop expertise in supply chain management by actively participating in procurement processes, inventory management, and logistical operations. This role aims to cultivate skills and knowledge for effective resource acquisition and distribution within an organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing and procuring goods and services according to company policies and procedures.
- Support the procurement team in negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers and vendors to obtain favorable terms and pricing.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and other relevant factors.
- Help maintain supplier relationships and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement strategies to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Assist in the analysis of procurement data and trends to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support overall business objectives.
- Stay informed about industry developments, market trends, and best practices in procurement.
- Complete training programs and assignments designed to enhance your skills and knowledge in procurement and supply chain management.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
- Prior internship or work experience in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
