Role: Product Specialist, reporting to the Sales Manager
Duties:
SALES
- Achieve and exceed annual territorial sales targets.
- Making presentations to Key Opinion shapers, doctors, clinical officers, nurses, pharmacists/ Pharmaceutical technologists in hospital clinics and pharmacies.
- Create and maintain detailed timetables, reports, and action plans to stay on track and meet goals.
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with doctors, HCP’s and supporting administrative staff.
- Arranging appointments with key opinion shapers (K.O.S), doctors, pharmacists and hospital medical teams, which may include pre-arranged appointments.
- Tender management which includes formulary listing and maximizing the opportunity of the company products.
- Develop a deep understanding of the local healthcare landscape, including key players, services, and patient needs.
- Conduct oneself in a manner that subscribes to set compliance standards including ADE reporting, product complaint and ethical marketing.
MARKETING
- Implement marketing strategy which includes but is not limited to correct use of detailing pieces, medical slides, promotional materials and relevant scientific data supplied by the company.
- Keep abreast of competitor activity and market trends to stay informed and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Maintaining knowledge of new developments in the market, anticipating potential negative and positive impacts on the business and adapting strategy accordingly.
- Developing strategies for increasing opportunities to meet and talk to contacts in the medical and healthcare sector.
- Managing budgets (for catering, outside speakers, conferences, hospitality, etc.).
- Keeping detailed and updated records of all business contacts.
- Organizing conferences, medical group sales meetings, CME for doctors and other health care providers.
- To ensure excellent knowledge and understanding of products, technical information, product strategy, positioning, key messages and programs.
