Job Description Details
Overall Job Purpose
To be responsible for the overall management of the region (Kisumu, Migori, Siaya, Homabay, Kisii and Nyamira Counties) to ensure increase in membership of volunteers and to increased revenue for the region.
Key roles and responsibilities
- Day to day running and management of the region while ensuring compliance with all County and National Government regulations and by laws
- Achievement of financial performance of the region.
- Develop and build on existing services identifying opportunities for growth, partnerships, innovations and diversification to enhance revenue generation streams and improved service delivery.
- Execute strategies that drive greater integration and efficiencies between the Regions, Volunteers and Staff.
- Establish value adding working relationships and networks with County, National Governments and other Organizations.
- Develop appropriate frameworks and monitoring processes for all aspects and activities of the region.
- Implementing marketing and fundraising strategies to strengthen Regional revenue base.
- Regional management of training and ambulance services
- Develop and monitor annual procurement plan and annual budgets in consultation with the Chief Accountant and the Regional council
- Develop and present related reports and proposals to the Regional committee
- Coordinating all volunteer work and other activities in the region in consultation with the Regional Commissioner.
- Serving as Secretary to Regional Council and Committees.
- Performing any other duties as directed or assigned by the CEO or Regional Chairman which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Business Administration or related fields.
- At least 5 years of professional working experience in a similar position
- Strong analytical and planning skills.
- Strategic decision making skills
- People management, leadership and decision making skills.
- Exhibit high level of negotiation and networking skills.
- Be a significant part in the growth of the organization aligning personal goals with those of the organization to drive success.

- Willing to travel on short notice for duties outside the duty station

The Organization is looking for an Accounts Assistant to serve at the Headquarters Office. This position reports to the Chief Accountant.
Job Responsibilities
- In charge of payments for all staff allowances, volunteer operations and suppliers.
- Ensure proper and accurate documentation of all financial related activities.
- Ensure all payments comply with all approvals as provided in the finance policy.
- Timely filling and payment of statutory obligations.
- Data entry for all accounting information in the SAGE System.
- Ensure daily, Weekly and Monthly reconciliation of Petty cash while preparing all relevant reports.
- Assist in credit and debt management as will be directed by the Chief Accountant.
- Management of office supplies to ensure stock does not fall below optimal level.
- Assist in quarterly HQ stock take with 100% accountability.
- Invoicing and receipting to clients.
- Assist in monthly reconciliation of stock, Mpesa and bank accounts
- Handle and resolve customers’ complaints
- Any other duties related to this position allocated by supervisor or any person in authority.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting option, Business Administration or any other relevant degree
- CPA Qualification in the foundation level
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Experience with computer accounting programs and Microsoft applications
- Team-player and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good customer experience skills.
